Lead Bartender / Mixologist

$18+ per hour (depending on level of experience)

Full time with nights and weekends required

Job Description

A Mixologists combine liquors and other ingredients in order to create unique and flavorful cocktails. Candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of a wide variety of beverage recipes and be creative in their approach to mixing drinks. Mixologists must also possess excellent customer service skills and people management skills as well as being able to handle a high-pressure working environment. Additionally, they must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will enjoy pushing the envelope with fun and create cocktail experiences that focus on healthier cocktails.

  • Mixologist Duties

    • Prepare and serve cocktails and other beverages
    • Interact with customers, take orders and suggest drinks
    • Maintain the bar area and keep it clean and organized
    • Check customers' identification to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages
    • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
    • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
    • Comply with all food and beverage regulations
    • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails according to recipes
    • Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
    • Upsell drinks to customers when appropriate

  • Mixologist Skills

    • Knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as the history of various spirits
    • Ability to create innovative and delicious drink combinations
    • Excellent customer service skills and employee management skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Mixologist Requirements

    • Excellent knowledge of cocktail recipes, alcohol and liquor types, flavor profiles and garnish techniques
    • Ability to work with a variety of equipment including shakers, blenders, and various other tools
    • Strong understanding of customer service and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere
    • Outstanding communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy bottles, trays and other equipment
    • Ability to stand for long periods of time
    • Must be 21 years of age or older
